“A detour doesn't mean you won’t hit your goal, it just means you’re getting there from a different direction.”- Shawn Burst
You will arrive.
Have you ever woken up and noticed how great your day, your weeks, and or your month has been going? Did you think to yourself, "this feeling is too good to be true?" Did you begin to overthink and say "something is about to go wrong I need to prepare myself for the worst?" Or worse, you said to yourself, "I don't deserve to be this happy" and you began to do things to undue your happiness, your victories?
Self-sabotage is real.
Some goals and dreams never leave the pages they were written on because of fear. Fear of failure. Fear of others' opinions. Fear of Success. “Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real”. Fear is one of the greatest roadblocks and or detours to a goal or dream coming to pass at all or in its desired time frame. An 11 day trip to The Promised Land turned into a 40-year trip because the Hebrews were afraid to fight "the giants" to get to The Promised Land.
Fear?
What "Fear," what "Giants" do you have to overcome to get to your Promised land to see your goals and dreams for your personal, spiritual, relationships, career, and finances come to pass.
Knowledge is Power
This week write down beside each goal from week 1, what you are afraid of. For example, if you have a career goal of starting your own business, you may write fear of failure, fear of others' opinions, etc etc. Search your heart to expose the lies. Next, write a daily action you can do to Defeat the Giants. Carve out some time for yourself to do this exercise. If you need accountability, get your family and or some friends/colleagues involved and have them participate in the exercise for themselves with you.
