Don’t paralyze yourself with Overthinking.

Now that you know "Where" to get started, you’re asking yourself "How" do I get started. FAIL FAST! Many times we paralyze ourselves with the details. The idea or dream never leaves the shelf for fear of the unknown. Or worse, fear of others' response or lack of response keeps us from moving forward with our goals, our dreams. I heard it said the faster we fail, the faster we succeed.

TAKE STEPS!

If you remember the businessman from last week, he kept deceiving himself into rationalizing why it wasn’t a good time to stop abusing drugs. You see, although the reason for having withdrawal symptoms while trying to close a business deal is a valid point, his ‘Why’ pushed him to Make a Goal and Take Steps to stop abusing drugs so he could close the deal and future business deals. He had to take steps towards his goal of being free of drug addiction.

Remember Change, Victory, and Success are Not Free.

It will cost you your time, your commitment, self-discipline, and relationships that don’t serve you any longer. Self Sabotage is Real. Keep Going!  “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 NIV

Today, create new habits to Execute "How Do I Start."

You can use these steps in life and in business:

  1. For each goal you wrote last week, Personal Goal, Relationship Goal, Financial Goal, Career Goal, and Spiritual Goal, write steps to work towards the goal. For example, if your goal is to pray every day, write down the time of day, set an alarm.
  2. Get a calendar - write your daily activities/steps towards your goals.
  3. Manage your distractions, carve out downtime, family time, personal time, date night, working your goal time, etc on the calendar.
  4. Make a Vision Board, put it on the wall, screen saver, or wallpaper to remember your "Why"..
  5. Be Grateful in the process. Praise your wins and losses.
